|A comment by Brat within another forum brought to mind, the careless and irresponsible driving habits I have noted with increasing frequency. These days, there seems to be little regard for, what was once regarded a must. These inattentive drivers violate with impunity the driving lane and space of other drivers.
From all appearances, they appear to be heedless, speeding around drivers, crossing at intersections, and, generally creating dangerous situations.
I am surmising this kind of behavior is no longer of concern to the police. Most times, the police cruisers are in evidence, but, I do not observe an abundance of the "green stamps" being awarded to the obvious offenders.
There was a time, back in the days of common courtesy and civility, that such behavior could be costly to offending drivers. No more. Perhaps the police are depending upon the modern technology, those "spy cams", which are now in abundance, to detect and ticket the offenders?
If so, its not working, particularly on the interstates and expressways.
Were we to not protect our heritage, then, who would?
